I’ve been meaning to get down to writing about my experience in selecting an MBA Program for myself, but truthfully, classes have kept me too busy. No, I did not give up my’ too good to be true IT job’ to do an MBA, (during recession? You must be joking!) , I just chose to go in for a Distance Learning MBA!

Let me start from the beginning. The way I see it, getting an MBA degree while keeping your jobs means my options are

1) Correspondence MBA ?

2) Distance Learning MBA ?

3) Online MBA !

I thinks its safe to say that a Correspondence MBA would be too watered down an effort for me. All it would ideally get me is a set of courseware, and examinations. No classes, nothing. So, I ruled the Correspondence MBA out.

Next Choice, the Distance Learning MBA with PCP or Study Center option. Again, a Distance Learning MBA really doesn’t cut it on the quality front. The faculty could be suspect at best.

An Online MBA is a whole new story! Exciting, new age, and it gives me access to Online MBA Classes, faculty, e learning, interaction with other students, the works! An online mba is definetly the way to go if you want to do an MBA part time. I came across this very cool b school doing online mba programs – University18 Business School. Its at www.ubs.edu.in , in case you’re interested. Its priced well, and they seem to have their funda’s right.

So, yes, I have enrolled in the UBS Online MBA Program. Now what remains to be seen is how long before the 630 AM classes get to me! I’m quite enjoying myself for now though! The professors are great, to boot!

This is very educational content and written well for a change. It's nice to see that some people still understand how to write a quality post!
